How do you ask a girl for her number to hangout sometime?
I'm socially awkward and so I have no idea how to do it. Also a little scared.

Just be yourself and try to be friends with her first. If you truly like someone you would respect them and give it some time before rushing into things. Start an interesting conversation til the point where she’ll want to finish talking with you later. And don’t do small talk. Just observe something about her that you know would interest her like school, food or hobbies or something 🤷🏾♀️
