How do you ask a girl for her number to hangout sometime?
I'm socially awkward and so I have no idea how to do it. Also a little scared.

Just strike up a conversation with her and ask her about what she likes. Once she puts that information out there, ask her questions about those things. Then at some point, you should say "Listen, you seem like a really cool person and talking to you is really fun. You want to hang out sometime?"
If she says "yes", then ask her what would be the ideal way to stay in touch with her (between texting, social media, etc.)
If she says "no", then just wish her well and send her on her way :) You've got nothing to lose, really, so grab life by the balls! After all, you only live once...
