Do you compromise in relationships?

See one of my least favorite chores is cleaning the shower but it needs to be done. So I'm going to do the walls and my gf is gonna do the tub part ( my least favorite ).

In any negotiation, you compromise when its a win-win for both sides, or the part you are giving up is not that important to you, or you are going to recoup it anyway. Don't give away something in a compromise that you can use as a gift later. Gifts score way more points. In this instance, hiring a house cleaner benefits both of you, if you can afford it.
