Guys...Do You Open the Door for a Girl?

My daughter started dating this guy and after the third date she asked him why he didn't open the car door for her. He responded, "Can't you do it?" She said, "Of course I can, but it would be nice if you did." My husband always opens the door for me, runs and opens doors for other people, holds the elevator door open for people, helps them with their groceries, returns shopping carts, and other simple but kindly gestures (FYI... my daughters and I also do these things). Is it a lost thing? Maybe I'm old fashioned, but to me it's just the right thing to do.

The other week I had collected 5 carts by the time I got to the cart corral. I think ppl thought I may have worked there...

Only pollute for a man to open the door.

It is the small things in this looked world, that really counts..

@Leftyss I think people should be polite and do small gestures for everyone, regardless gender or age...but there's something about a young man opening a door for young girl and a teenager lending giving their seat up for an older person. Random acts of kindness...a little bit goes a long way.
