When was the last time you were in love?

Do you miss it or are you happy to be rid of the feeling? Why or why not?

@mic
"Making it into a primary focus" was intended to mean not living to find love.. Not spending every waking moment thinking about it, hoping to see it in every person you come in contact with.. But instead, focusing on yourself first and your own needs to facilitate personal growth and development. And pursuit is necessary yes, but only when fondness is mutual.
Personally.. I guess I haven't found found anyone yet that I have felt the urge to pursue, but if it happens someday? Cool.. But I won't cease to live if it doesn't. Not much of a chaser when it comes to love, though..

Not too long ago. Felt pretty good, but it just makes people so stupid. It's hard to want that back.

1991. I'm too old and too smart for that now. I'd rather take a nap.

Years ago (late teens), but he had to move away. I had never felt such a strong connection to anyone as I did with him.. As though we were two of the same being.
I do believe that it is possible as well as a divine experience, but the beauty of it can be found in just allowing it to enter your life and unfold naturally instead of making it into a primary focus. The rarest of treasures are only found when discovered.. Not hunted. At least that's how I feel about it.

@Bouyantwaters thats unfortunate, but if you wanted nothing to do with feelings you get for other people after that experience I wouldnt blame you. Its a rotten apple spoiling the bunch type deal.
mic11225 · 26-30, M
@nocturnalcuriosity yeah i have a similar feeling about it. I mean, I like it alot but yeah it makes you do stupid things and then when its over you feel stupid for following your feelings.
mic11225 · 26-30, M
@RedRhapsody Thats a real bummer, been there myself. yeah but at the same time if an opportunity presents itself shouldnt you take it? What if you do things passively and it just goes away? I can kind of see like trying to force something that normally shouldnt work but I feel like chasing after things is what we do. We dont get everything we want for free. I think the one thing about just letting it happen thats good is just learning to live your life without it and if you dont get it no big deal. I dont think thats reason not to chase after someone if you want them though.

It's more of an annoyance if anything.......... That is, the situation I was in..... She just couldn't take it as serious as I. ʕ·ᴥ· ʔ

@hunkalove naps are definitely nice. Doing something stupid might be fine though, if the pleasure is worth the pain xD.

I'm mostly missing my girlfriend with whom I'm in love but who lives in a different country. And these days are harder

I was young and stupid. It was not love. It was just the feeling of being safe. But it pretty much got scattered when it turned physically abusive. So I'm happy to say that im happy to be rid if that thing.

I miss it because I don't want to forget the lesson it left me, and I'm happy to get rid of the feeling because I know that it's time to move on
mic11225 · 26-30, M
@Chantou I could see something like that. You could be wanting someone but at the same time missing something you used to have.
mic11225 · 26-30, M
@Chantou ah i see. Out of curiosity, have you met them in person before?

I am still in love, but I miss my love as weird as it may seem
mic11225 · 26-30, M
@RedRhapsody good point. I agree with that too. I did miss that part.
I'm always in love ..
