How to convince an older guy ...

There's an attraction/chemistry between me and this older guy I used to work with. We've known each other for around 5 or 6 years and probably see each other a handful of times every year. Over the last year, we've talked about our attraction to each other, on and off. The most physical it's got has been him caressing my thigh. He doesn't think that I should 'waste' my time with him, and that I'm better off with someone closer to my own age. I don't disagree. But, we have great chemistry. I'm not expecting a long-term relationship with him - he isn't expecting that with me either - so I don't see what the big deal is if we perhaps explore the chemistry a bit more. He thinks that he feels like he's taking advantage of me, even though that's not the case.

How can I convince him that I can make these decisions for myself?

(I'm late 20s, he's around 50 but looks a lot younger.)

Let things progress naturally.

Hmmmmmmm, for onetime tell him how you feel about him clearly and if he doesn't shows you interest then move on. We cant be happy in the forced relationship. Always choose someone who loves you not whom you love.

They claim 18 is the legal age for adulthood, but it's 21 in my book. All you can do is keep flirting with him and assuring that you both are doing nothing wrong nor is anything wrong with the attraction or age gap 👍

It sounds like you're going to have to take the lead if this is gonna happen. I've got some easy start-up ideas. LMK if you want to hear them
I'm not being rude, but if you have to 'convince' him to consider a relationship, it may not be the best thing for either of you

just talk to him again & tell him how u feel - if he still doesn't want to pursue anything u can't do anything else! If u both are on the some page which it seems like then u are both fine. On the other hand i have been in similar situation b4 the girl always gets hurt so just be careful....

im forty seven and i have been on the mans side of this fence a bit.i have daughters that are in their late twenties, and have dated women much younger than them.the youngest at twenty one.i felt weird about it at first as well and it took some getting used to.you look at the person inside and if they have what you crave inside, then there is nothing wrong with it,as long as you are two consenting adults.i have dated hotter, and better looking women at my age now, then i did as a young man.

I'm 50 and I would love to find a younger woman to be with. I want a little fun and adventure in my life. No kids though, I've been there done that. Woman closer to my age seam to slow down and don't want to enjoy the outdoors.
