Anybody here just give up on real love?

I don’t see the point of “giving up.” That takes determination and energy. We don’t all get it but it’s not like it never happens either. Makes more sense to me to just let it go. Let it be where it is when it is and just live. If it finds me, it finds me, but I won’t miss any more of my life trying to see it where it doesn’t exist.

I gave up 12 years ago. I gave up dating and everything. No sex neither, don't care. 12 years ago I said I was done, and I stuck by my word.

Thought I had but it's really not worth avoiding connection. That's got a 100% chance of making you feel lonely forever.

I hope, in time, you change your mind. Real love exists, it's not a fairy tale.
