From what I know it just means that you're subconsciously thinking about that person, causing them to manifest in your dream. Now why that person is on your mind is another story entirely and that you have to determine on your own. Although there is another case in which that person may be in your dream simply because you're around them a lot and they are easy for your subconscious mind to use to fill a space
