Funniest/Oddest Date You Ever Had?

Years ago, not too long after the online dating thing got going, I was single, and thought what the heck, let's give this a go. Surprisingly, after posting a picture and profile, I had several what I call nobbles, and enjoyed email back and forth with a number of charming ladies. Several I finally asked out on a "get to know you date" and to be honest, I didn't know quite what to expect. So I went into it with a "I'm going to have fun and enjoy a date and dinner no matter how it turns out". Off I went, and after a half dozen or so fund dates, I ran into one that to this day ahs me chuckling to myself, while at the same time wondering if this gal ever found anyone.

As soon as we were seated at a table in a rather nice Italian place, I began chatting, you know, the get to know one another chit-chat, and suddenly, she pulled out a 5x8 tablet which had lots of writing on it. She then began to ask me questions, one after another, sometimes checking a line on the tablet, sometimes drawing a line through it. After a few questions, with me smiling and with a bit of a chuckle, I asked her what this was all about. "Simple" she replied, "I have 50 qualifiers here, and depending upon your answer, we will or won't have a second date." Yah, I was nice for the remainder of my grilling and the dinner, but when we left I told her, "I don't know what you came up with; but I won't be calling you; but thanks for an interesting date!"

Oh let's see. I went on a blind double date with a friend of mine and her boyfriend. They told me ahead of time that the guy I would be meeting was a "really nice guy." Nothing could have been further from the truth. When introductions were made, he didn't even bother to stand up and shake my hand or even acknowledge me. We went out to dinner and on the ride to the restaurant, complained about the music that we were playing in the car. He was rude to the waitress. We went for coffee after dinner and he didn't bother to hold the door open for me or even pay for my coffee (my friend's boyfriend bought mine). Needless to say, I pulled my friend aside and told her that I wanted to go home immediately. So after all of this, the guy actually had the nerve to call me and ask me out for Valentine's Day. I didn't return his call, so he called again and yelled at me for "blowing him off." It was bizarre.

@SW-User A bit self... no, a lot self-centered, and that type never have a clue.

@frequentlyme Yeah. I was told later that he had just been through a bad breakup and was hating women at the time. Why they thought it would be a grand idea for us to go out is completely beyond me.
