Would you accept if your bf/gf wanted to hang out with their ex but only as friends?

Seems innocent enough, but that never works, in my opinion. If they wanted to stay with the other one, shouldn't have left. Too much of a conflict of interest. Just not a good idea. That's just asking for trouble.
