You just know.

When you think of nothing else but that one person...their eyes, their touch, their hair cascading down their back. That deep connection that binds your hearts. The ability to finish the other's thoughts and know what they will say before they do. Relishing their perfume long after they have departed. A connection that is like no other...a bond that makes the rest of the world fade away and seem less important.

Love and being "in love" are different. It's more like part (in love) to whole (love).

There's someone on here whom I absolutely love more than anything. Our bond is incredible, deep, and just unbreakable. But I'm not really "in love" with her. I respect her enough to let that go but I still love her incredibly. :)

You will definitely know when this happens to you. Love is not subtle. It hits you like a freight train.

You know you’re in love when you can’t imagine living a single day without them in your life, in some way. When they are hurting, you hurt too; your heart literally aches. When you are with them, time stands still. When you speak to them 18 times a day, but miss them seconds after you hang up, and you can’t wait to hear from them and be with them again. When you put their best interest before your own, because you truly want them to be happy and want what is best for them. When your souls are so connected, you just know when something is bothering the other; you think the same thoughts, and can finish each other’s sentences. When you feel loved and cherished, unconditionally, and being with your beloved, simply makes you a better person. There are many other ways, but these immediately came to mind. 💞
