What advice would you give to a 17 year old with his first girlfriend?

Be kind, be respectful to her and to her parents, and never pressure her to do anything with which she is uncomfortable. This is the beginning of deeper romantic relationships, but certainly not the end - no need to get "married" today, just enjoy getting to know someone else in this type of relationship.
