Do you believe in online dating?

Am wondering if it's possible to get a serious partner on line.
I think its better to date others that you meet thru friends, the workplace, church, etc. Too many crazies online.

@JustLikeGreta Yeah! No crazies in our neighbourhoods.
@Serenitree That is good. haha

I wouldn't, but I didn't do so great with the people I met in real life. I think some might hit it off well, but online dating is like a blind date with two blindfolds instead of one.

I like your analogy, it's very true 👍@Serenitree

I have a friend that met their spouse online in a game they played for 2 yrs. They've been together and married for 10 yrs. So yes, I believe it's possible.

Yes it's worked for me several times, I don't know what the current scene is like since the last person I met has been my partner for 8 years, what I would say was there were good sites and some that just took your money. On the good sites there were dates who were just playing with people, some who wanted free meals and some who were married. Cut through the bull take precautions don't put yourself in danger and try it.

So far only disappointing

Like in life, it's 50/50.
I doubt it...

Real relationships need real contact. The chemistry just can't survive without it
@Jimmyorjames It definitely makes more sense to meet. A romance strictly online really isn’t one.

I think it's possible to meet someone online, but like if your speaking of having a relationship with a person online I say it's not very fun,(at least for me...)
I have meet someone online with the most awesome personality and just super and I would probably almost have a relationship with them if I could, but they live in another country so yeah...im not gonna date them or anything over long distance or online. I mean don't get me wrong if you meet someone online and like they live near you or are willing to travel to see you then that sounds good to me at least, but if you guys are in like different countries and long distance stuff then no I don't really think that can work well (it can but most times it does not in my opinion)

So in short you can find people you may have a spark with online, but you gotta make rules for yourself and not just jump into things because you 'Love' them online. Lol that was long....

Bit of a pipe dream i think.

When you think about it, it's very easy to the best version of yourself and be all the things you WISHED you were 24/7 IRL. online.

But real life is fraught with all kinds of problems. Some affect you everyday ! and the temptation (deliberately or not) to 'mislead' that fact isn't good.

its a waste of time.. thats my experience

It is an even better approach, because you get an idea how your online partner is thinking, his aatitudes are earlier visible if you read carefully between the lines.

@GeniUs god that's soooo rude! Seriously?? She clearly had no manners😠
Your totally right not to give up, your like me, I kp trying and refuse to give up, these things don't often happen straight away.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
@TrulyDiscover82 As soon as you stop trying, the chances of achieving whatever you want to do suddenly become almost non existent. You have to keep going, you can take a break, if you need it to recover (strength, mental well being, spirit, etc) but always with the mind of going back to whatever it is you want to achieve.
TrulyDiscover82 · 41-45, F
@GeniUs so true. Couldn't agree more🤝 An like you say, you can walk away from it anytime u need a breather if u get alot of time wasters driving u nuts etc. But never give up completely or what's da point in anything really, if u give up as soon as it gets hard.
