Relationships are about compromise, This a good learning experience for you both. you kinda of want to do it, so have him teach you to make simple stuff first. Do remind him of what you do. If you do cook then he has to do the cleanup. you need to speak up and resolve it. Holding back will just create more tension and eruption. communicate and resolve the issue fairly.

Tell him you are more than willing to pitch in and help, but you hate cooking and feel like you are already contributing by working and cleaning the flat.

You could just continue to pitch in when he's cooking. You'll learn quite a bit with him helping you and it won't seem so much like a chore then get him to help clean up too. Bevore long you'll be creating hood food withoutceven realising.

Why not get him to teach you how to cook over a couple of glasses of red! If your cooking's that bad or you dislike cooking that much, just tell him. He'll either accept you for what you are and compromise something. If he sulks take a rain check. Bon appetite!

I personally like a man that expects me to cook and clean for him. But if you don't want to do it, you have to be honest about it. A little compromise goes a long way.

you could say that if you do the cooking he'll have to do the cleaning up
