You can tell him by starting with the sentence by, "Have I ever told you how much I (appreciate you, love you, want to understand you more so I would feel much closer to you?)"
Or you can say, "I miss it when you...(say something he naturally does and is good at)"
You can cook for him. Get to know his favourite food.
You can buy him things he said he needed before. It doesn't have to be big, maybe he needed a towel or new socks, or a new shirt. Listen to him when he complains about needing something.
You can hang out with his buddies, or his mother more. Get to know them, maybe serve the people that he actually loves. It will make him feel like you really do care.
Men do have a thing for sex so if you are also a sexual person, you may want to tease him for a while and then give him heavens later. But tbh I find that this is less important and if you aren't comfortable being sexual then don't do it. Someone who loves you and needs you isn't just in need of your body, they love you because after all the years to come and when you have a wrinkly body, they still like your company.
And finally, to appreciate someone means to also know your weaknesses. Maybe the best appreciation is when you finally stop nagging on him, or when you finally stop being oversensitive, or when you finally stop being so jealous.
