Not here, but at the previous site I was on, a user had some people fooled to the point that they believed she was dying, that she did die (after hearing from her “friend”) and that they would be getting money from her estate (after hearing from her “lawyer.”)
People were left reeling as she’d spent years cultivating friendships with some of them. The mystery of who this person actually was remains unsolved.

@Barelygettingby Yet there were some great people too. Have a ten year friendship with a woman I met there. We’ve gotten together countless times. Met a few others as well. You just have to be VERY careful.
