Should people talk about spousal abuse or keep silent?

should talk about it, but to certain people, there's certain people that talking about it to them could actually prove to be detrimental. i speak from personal experience. even though it wasnt a marriage.

@DancingStarGoddess I was looking at pictures from a year ago tonight that my Mom took of me. It appears I thought it was less severe than I remembered
@MikefromEP sometimes we tell ourselves, that it's ok and that it's nothing, when we know better, i think it's because we think it'll pass, or at least hope it will. or that they will go back to how they were before they started doing those things that hurt.

I would hope the answer is self-evident, though it's not discussed nearly enough.
Definitely talk about it, but to people who are willing to help and take action. Cause sometimes people talk about it but nothing happens because the person recieving the abuse won't want a change as to not aggravate their spouse.

@WittyKittyfeelinShitty I know all about that

The more we talk about it, the more acceptable it becomes to have it talked about. It then gets a higher profile and stands a chance of getting reduced by the abuser, hopefully before it happens again. People generally don't do things if there are consequences.
Talk is cheap
