Are you ready to be in love?

I've recently wondered if I am. I miss the feeling but am spending so much time working towards my own goals. I don't want to be an emotionally unavailable partner and my focus needs to stay where it is currently. Difficult but right now things need to stay the way they are.

Being in love is one of the most irrational unstable and outright dangerous states of mind you could ever experience. Most of the time it leads to heartbreak. Sometimes, in a worst case scenario, it leads to destruction, even death. This is not a state of mind to wish for. Yes, it is a high and it feels good--but so does heroin.

I am always ready for that. True love that is. Which has eluded me. Love is something that does not interest me much anymore. I have been hurt too fucking bad.
