There was some sociological study I saw that found that the older men get, the younger their "ideal" woman is, down to 18 years, for obvious reasons (On the record, at least). "Oddly enough" the same doesn't apply to women, though it would be interesting to know how much of that is cultural peer pressure, and how much could be due to differing levels of honesty, but there are different valuations at play, obviously.
Not to mention individuals vary, but when you ask "you" one assumes you're interested in the typical. Personally, I'm not sure if I would bother with 18 year old (Though you can see all the old guys on posts from those age groups...), but it always depends :p Otherwise, age isn't a huge determinant, but at my age I'm not really interested in people older than myself.
Funny fact: The "half your age plus seven" creepy rule originally appeared in the form of "A man should marry a woman half his age, plus seven.", as in prescriptive in first half of 1900's. So the social acceptability has definitely been moving towards closer ages, which may also play a part in why older men prefer progressively younger women.
