Are we measured by our partners or by ourselves?

LyricalOne · F
Possibly some of that but there are also women who simply choose to focus on their careers rather than relationships at this stage of their lives.

Relationships are hard and require work.

I don't think it is necessary men are intimated, I don't believe I ever felt that way towards successful independent women I have come across, but the complexity of finding the person you are attracted too, is attracted to you, you both have the time and put forth the effort to even start up some kind of relationship that can grow romantically is a challenge.
we dont feel intimidated they just dont have time for anyone

@supercalifragilisticexpialidoc why do u say that?
@Clairessa09 I myself am highly independent, I run my own company and have a job working as a developer, both those together I dont really have the time for relationships...granted I'm a workaholic but yea.
OKWTF2 · 51-55, M
@supercalifragilisticexpialidoc yes both being able to put in the time that is needed is such a challenge.

I find independence to be an attractive quality in women. 😊

Lack of time.

At this point, they only reason I consider investing in forming a serious relationship is so my siblings don't lack a good father figure or male example.

Most aren't intimidated by success. They are attracted to it.
