No i think there should be a legal requirement for teens to have their tubes tied !
Male and female ! Like a 'rite of passage' that's accepted in other cultures.
That way, even if they ignore the LAW about age of consent; even if they get LEAD astray by their hormones; even if 'they get drunk at parties' they won't do any damage to another life; family; government benefits etc.
If society flatly refuses to take responsibility for teaching kids proper sex education and how to take responsibility for your actions, you have to find another way !

@Picklebobble2 That's a bit much to have teens have their "tubes" tied. Is this always reversible for both male and female?
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Phire1 Granted. Very draconian. But as long as 'The adults' are still 'refusing to teach' young people the necessity for safe sexual health, and the necessity for safe birth control, what can you do ?

@Picklebobble2 imo, just because 'some' adults may not teach their kids/teens sex education doesn't mean the teens should have their 'tubes' tied. How reversible is that procedure for both male and female?
Actually, in the U.S., the teen pregnancy rate has dropped in recent years.

@Phire1 tubal Ligation can be reversed in women. It's harder but not impossible for men to have the same.

@Picklebobble2 Tubal litigation is still questionable, imo, and not something I think teens should endure...just because of the possible risks of affecting their child-bearing decisions later on

@Picklebobble2 At any rate, Do you think males should be able to legally opt out of parenthood/child support? Should females be able to?
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Phire1 No because if they can be allowed to opt out of the responsibility for bringing another life into the world....Arguably THE biggest decision a human can make ! you give them a 'cop-out' card to continue the same behaviour endlessly.

@Picklebobble2 Interesting point!
