Do you think in a marriage either man or woman should be 'the boss'?

Honestly, I don't think so. If i'd have nothing to say, I don't want a relationship at all. And it doesn't mean that I would ever want to be 'the boss'. I'd hate even the thought of it. I think in a relationship it's all about respect and being able to make compromises, and truly listening to each other, paying attention with each other's wishes. And when two people are too different from each other, I think they just won't match.. My thought. What's your thought?

This is a direct quote from the Bible concerning husbands and wives.

Slot of people like to twist this.

Ephesians chapter 5 verses 21-33.

Wives and husbands be subordinate to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Wives should be subordinate to their husband's as to the Lord. For the husband is head of his wife just as Christ is head of the church, he himself the saviour of the body.

As the church is subordinate to Christ, so wives should be subordinate to their husband's in everything.

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the church and handed himself over for her, to sanctify her, cleansing her by the bath of water with the word, that he might present to himself the church in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.

So husband's should love their wives as their own bodies, he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one hates his own flesh but rather nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body.

For this reason a man shall leave father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.

This is the great mystery, but I speak in reference to Christ and the church. In any case, each one of you should love his wife as himself, and the wife should respect her husband.

Notice this begins with a call for both husband and wife to be equally subordinate to each other.

Then it ends with love and respect.

Most of this passage admonishes husbands to love and honor cherish and nuture their wives as Christ loved honored nutured and cherished his church, and that included teaching God's words of love and compassion and salvation.

The word subordinate in this context doesn't mean servitude as some twist it to mean.

All it meant was after discussing things with his wife, listening to her thoughts and weighing them the final decision was up to the husband and the wife should respect his decision just as he respected her input.

Thanks for a great question.
@Runningwolves Thank you also for that great answer :)
