Who else hates this trend in music glamorizing being a side piece/other woman/convenient guy friend?

There is this song called "The Weekend" by SZA. I met her once and thought she was nuts. This song confirmed it. After she sings about knowing she isn't the man's main woman, she settles for having him for a few days out of the week. The lyrics go something like "cuz my man is your man and your man is my man" and then maybe she can have him for the weekend.

When you are single is when you are free to roam, but who has time to share someone who is telling you to their face that you are a side-dish. No sweetheart, my man is not your man and I will not have him just for the weekend. He is mine 7 days of the week.

Eh, I just listen to whatever sounds good to me.

@SW-User And that is definitely important for our sanity, finding things that sound good. But I tend to pay attention to lyrics a lot and some of them just do not add value to everyday life (well for me).

@SamiraSaber I do as well, I just listen to mostly Indie electronic music, and avoid most main stream music and artists while I can.
