As a single mom of a 2year old boy. Ive been finding hard to meet people. What is about the word mom that scares men away?

I think it is a two way street, as a man we might at first see baggage and try to find a way to deal with it until we meet the kids and form a bond... as the mother in my experience it is probably a mother's instinct to first protect her children
