How to forget someone? Don't say it's impossible

If you were truly in love. It will take a lot of time. You will compare the next few people you date to the one that you were or still are in love with. They will probably not fair as well because they will be going against your emotions for the other person. They may actually be better people but you may not see it. Because you still love someone else. But don't try to force it either and tell yourself how much better the new person is. Just so you can get over the last person. Just try to see how things go honestly. And in time the hurt should lesson up. And someone else will have a chance a real chance for the two of you to be in love.
