Ex bf kept complaining about me now he is dating a copy of me and shoving it in my face. It really hurts. How should I react?

While I was dating my ex for 3 years I was modeling and finishing medical school. On IG I would share photos of me modeling and he would never like them or be supportive saying it was ridiculous that I need to focus on more important things and put me down. I broke up with him to see if he will change and see what life is like without me. Instead now he is dating another model doctor and always likes her photos of her modeling, shares photos of them which he would never do with me. Why is he acting differently with her. It kind of hurts

Personally I'm starting to think he was maybe dating you for status and is a dick. He's probably dating her for status too, why else would he pick someone like you? You sound amazing. I wish I could model while I'm in med school. I just date people for money instead.

@SDFORME I think the best thing to do is not react. It'll drive him insane and if he likes you, he 'll start to wonder why you're not reacting and chase you.

He sounds like a prick! You can’t break up with someone just to teach them a lesson it will almost certainly backfire. You’re better off without him though. Go and find someone else that supports you and makes you feel good about yourself

Well, clearly he's an ass !
He likes the association of being with somebody like you but has 'problems' accepting what you do.
As he doubtless will with his current girlfriend.

Feel sad about it if you want. But from my perspective i think you dodged a bullet !
