Care to give some relationship advice?

I've been thinking about my ex a lot lately, and I really do miss him, but I hurt him so bad when I broke up with him (yes, I'm having second thoughts). We broke up over a year ago and haven't spoken to each other since. Should I try to contact him again to see how he's doing, or should I just forget about it?
