Why does my boyfriend get mad at me cuz he misses me?

He said that he can't help it, because he misses me, the fight started because my ex wanted to see me, and I asked for my boyfriend permission, cuz he's like the jealous type, so he said ok fine, but don't do anything stupid, I don't know what he meant by that, but why does he get mad at me? Like because he misses me?

Because he doesn't want you to hang with your ex. Wouldn't it make you uncomfortable if he came to you and said "my ex really wants to see me, is it okay if I go hang out with her?" In my opinion putting him in that uncomfortable position is not nice. If you care about his feelings, don't do it. Your ex is your ex for a reason. I guess it depends on how much you care about your boyfriend.
