I put up with her stealing my pain meds and leaving me in severe pain day after day .When I was an addict no one stuck by me ,so I tried to be the one who never gave up ,love will win I kept telling myself ,after 8 yrs I had to admit I was wrong .
Addicts can't help themselves ,,the drugs always wins
8 yrs after she relapsed I gave her the choice ,rehab or we're done
She went to detox ,but refused rehab (she took the meds they gave her for a month in 2 weeks and started stealing my pain meds again .
I kept my promise ,I made her leave
Now she is clean ,if not i will take our son
So for love ,I don't prove her unfit and take our son (I get him every weekend and all summer ,her choice )
I took our kids from my fist wife and she was a saint compared to my sons Mom
but our son is safe and well taken care of now ,so at least for him she got it together .
She knows if our son says he wants to be with me now ,there is no battle at all
So she only drinks when he is with me ,she quit taking drugs
She knows I never test positive for anything I don't have a script for
My Kid's mean everything to me ,now I live to make them proud ,and they are

church going. Oh the tedium!

My mental and emotional well being.

Uhhh...i think i changed myself. I turned into a good girl.

Moved to another state and took a major cut in pay to do so.

I do anything for the ones I loved. Maybe that's my problem
