I went to a wedding last night as the guest of the groom's cousin, my on-again/off-again ex-boyfriend.

I've been to many weddings of course, but this was the first time I didn't know either the bride or the groom and hardly knew anyone in attendance. It's very different going as "and guest"!

I learned a few things last night too. First and foremost, I learned that he talks about me a lot! His sister was all over me all night trying to get intel on me... How did I feel about him? Etc.

But it was a fun night with tons of dancing...and I (the shortest girl there) caught the bouquet!!

@bhatjc Yes, but what does the bride have to do with any of that? I talked to her only for like 5 seconds the whole night and didn't mention her in my story at all??

@bhatjc Lol, I'm pretty sure I said I went with the groom's cousin. So if he was also the bride's brother, then 🤔

But, lol, yes... Evidently my date talks about me a lot to his family and his sister made it her mission Friday night to find out everything she could about me.

@bhatjc It's complicated. Wow, I was half way through typing the word "complicated" when I realized what a cliche that is for a relationship!! But seriously,it is. So we dated two summers ago (2015) and he helped me through my grandparents' passing a lot. Since then it's been on-again/off-again. He would like it to be a lot more than it is. I think I see him as more of a friend or fwb right now. He says I'm "marriage material" (whatever the hell that means).

And clearly he talks about me a lot to his family because they knew all about my university years and stuff I'd done and my career plans, etc, etc, etc. As for his sister, she was awesome. She was right up front about it. She wanted to know if I was as into her bro and he was into me. I tried to be as honest as I could without violating confidences between me and him.
