I went to a wedding last night as the guest of the groom's cousin, my on-again/off-again ex-boyfriend.

I've been to many weddings of course, but this was the first time I didn't know either the bride or the groom and hardly knew anyone in attendance. It's very different going as "and guest"!

I learned a few things last night too. First and foremost, I learned that he talks about me a lot! His sister was all over me all night trying to get intel on me... How did I feel about him? Etc.

But it was a fun night with tons of dancing...and I (the shortest girl there) caught the bouquet!!

How did you manage to catch the bouquet? Did you jump? Did you push the other girls aside? 😜

@Mugin16 Okay so I'm a very competitive person and I only have two "modes": on and off.

I've been in that group of single girls at many weddings but I've never once tried to catch it. And this time as we all gathered on the floor I had no intention of trying. But then I caught her eye. This other girl was "sizing up" her competition. Her look to me flipped a switch in my head.

So yeah, when the bouquet went up, so did I. It helped that I was in comfortable flat sandals. I don't think I pushed anyone, but I came down with it. 😁

@sarabee1995 I see. So the your competitive nature and the adavantge given to your comfy flat sandals helped you to catch the bouquet despite the fact that the other girls were taller and in heels? Impressive! :-)

@Mugin16 Yeah I guess. I didn't really watch what they were doing. I just saw the bouquet go up, timed it, and jumped.

@sarabee1995 Jumping in flat sandals must be easier than in heels, I suppose.

@Mugin16 lol I would imagine. I'm not a heels kinda girl.
