What is the ideal number of calls a couple should exchange in a day? Would you compromise your happiness for the success of the relationship?

Just depends on the day and what's going on. Sometimes I talk to my husband on the phone once a day and sometimes a dozen times. I would compromise my happiness some but if he was calling twenty times just to see where I am and what I'm doing I couldn't handle that.

Once a week is plenty

I think the number of calls varies from couple to couple. As for compromising your happiness - if the success of relationship was somehow linked to my survival and my child's chances, yes I would compromise my happiness.

There is no ideal anything for a relationship, other than respect and trust. From there, whatever works for 2 people is their business.
