What is the most extreme thing you've done for love?

I'm not sure if this even answers my own question, but I joined the Army.

Bought her a house ... so she could move on ..
She really liked me ... I loved her

But, her family would not accept me ... they would not let her see her sisters or grandchildren if she continued to see me.
