Does being old-fashioned really helps in building a relationship?

I am old-fashioned..I'd been with 5 previous unconsumated relationships before with the man I am now with...I think it took too much trying to keep us just because he's the first man I slept..

Earlier this morning I read an article about a woman who married a man that has ADP ..and as they pursue she describe it as living hell. She kept the marriage because they have a baby on their way and it was inculcate by her mom that whoever came first in her life shall be the one she has to spent her entire life with. I admit at some point of being old fashioned I find it to shallow to keep the one who came first knowing your partner is psychologically incapacitated. However, I felt guilty that knowing her situation is not so different from mine..I also admit that my recent relationship is rocky in which I have to reevaluate where to put myself if I get tired of it..I can't afford worst things to come probably I'll leave my old-fashioned self on the side because I don't want to tear my life away because my emotions haven't been taken good care of..

I don't think it makes any difference.
