I took that risk and she is my current wife. Things were great before her diagnosis. We both feel we should have taken this step years ago to spend more time together.

I am of 2 minds with this one.
If there is a sexual connection that develops and it happens and if for some reason there is a falling out then they where not friends in the first place.
We all want lovers who are friends as well, don't we?
