That makes no sense to me to do that. Why not just go and find the right person?
MeInCharge · 41-45, M
@Fernie Because finding the right person is hard and people try to make the right person out of someone who might be close to that.
Fernie · F
@MeInCharge No, that's quite unhealthy to try and mold someone into the person you NEED them to be. Finding the right person requires work, yes, looking in the right places, not having unreasonable expectations, not looking from a place of desperation and settling then being unhappy. We have to first know exactly what we are looking for in order to find it
@MeInCharge Trying to change someone is even harder, and not a fair thing to do. 🤔

@bijouxbroussard I agree. The analogy in my mind is trying to put that square peg in a round hole

@bijouxbroussard A lot of people say they want to change. They say that anyway. Changing them is a different story, even if they say that.
@MeInCharge Even if they believe they want to, it generally has to come from within or things get controlling and weird, and there's often resentment. That's why it usually doesn't work. 🙁

@bijouxbroussard I don't disagree with you. But love often overrides reason.

@bijouxbroussard and that resentment almost always rears it's ugly head
