Post photos of you actually out and about doing things you enjoy not just selfies. In your about me actually be truthful if you don't like hiking don't write it because you did it once years ago lol When talking to someone it is good to start with an interesting fact or a silly joke it helps you stand out. If the other person is not maintaining conversation at equals with you drop them they are not that into it. When it comes time to meet do it somewhere casual, in public.
