I like a Muslim...

In my country, anyone regardless of gender who married a Muslim is required to convert.
I don't think I'm up for that. But he's from Egypt so, idk man.
I mean, I love my roasted pork and am a Christian (though not baptized but still )

1. You're way too young to be thinking about marriage.

2. Your country? Which one is that? Why would they require you to convert? Don't they have civil ceremonies?

3. If religion is important to him, and it's not your thing, then your relationship WILL fail.

@Northwest nah it's just a fleeting thought ....
I'm from Malaysia and I don't know what ceremony you're talking about but the thing here is that :
Anyone can convert to Islam here and no Muslim has ever succeeded in converting out of Islam. (The respective court here will never allow it)

@Softylips Here's another fleeting thought: if the guy is from Egypt, and you just met him, AND he's pushing to take it to the next level, then he may be trying to use you to escape his life in Egypt. Not that you're not all that, and then some, but...

Ceremony, as in civil and not religious ceremony, where you don't declare a religion. Malaysia is a marriage destination, and you can get married there without declaring a religion (I witnessed one. I didn't think this applies to foreigners only, but even if that's the case, the guy is a foreigner).

Bottom line: if you choose a religious ceremony, for one of the main religions (Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, etc.), than both parties must accept that religion, at a minimum for the purposes of the ceremony. This is not unique to Islam. The issue with Islam,in your country, is that you may not be able to uncovert.

I see, it's alright. I just met him and I have a crush on him so I just had this thought.
Conversion of faith is one water I don't want to touch. I love the way I am right now. Honestly I really don't mind marrying a Hindu or Sikh here. Just the Muslims...
