I'm going to say men since most seem to think with their penis....

I'm tempted to say it seems more common in men but really, it's probably about even and women are better are hiding it 🤷‍♀️

It's probably more men than women , but a lot of women do as well.. and not to bring in stereotypes, but certain men of a unnamed race always seem to be talking about the hoes they be having on the side behind thier significant others back.. just sayin'

There are claims that women cheat more and that men cheat more. No way to really know. If I had to guess, I'd say women cheat more, because they have more opportunities, in general. I.e. It's easier for women to find potential partners, since women control sex. So, it stands to reason that women cheat more.

But, it's really just based on opportunity, imo. Anyone will cheat under ideal circumstances.

Actions begin in the mind ... More men think of cheating than women so as a natural corollary more men cheat than women even though they have lesser opportunities than women. Needless to say women have more opportunities to do so but since they don't think about it as much as their counterparts do they are behind in this race... For men sex is more a physical activity hence making it easier whereas for women it's more a emotional activity.
Looking at it from the evolutionary perspective looks like we have been built this way else mankind will perish either with over population or under population...

Hard to say but I do think men are weaker as they get tempted easily

I think it is even. I think it is often the coldness and distance that we men give off that causes women to seek love else where. I think men more often jump into a rash decision, whereas women seek out someone to love them. I also think men share with there wives/ s/o and I agree with other comments that women hide it better.

It's hard to say, i think women would be better at hiding it, but then the majority of guys that visit brothels are in relationships so who knows?

I want to say research showed women cheat more. But still I think it's made a bigger deal somehow (on average) when men do so, so they get put on the spot for it more.
