Would you date someone with children?

Hmmm ... never have. I'm pretty sure I don't want to be a mom, so the whole "instant mom" thing wouldn't be appealing to me. 🤷‍♀️

i do not see children in my life, other than in very particular circumstances when my life would not be my own.

I'm 40. If I was hypothetically single it'd be hard to find someone without children unless I was dating way too young for my age.

I’d really have to think hard about it, but not for the reasons most would think. I love children… but I don’t know how fair it would be to insert myself in their little lives, when it’s very possible that I end up back in the hospital for life. I would have to consider the emotional risk to them. It’s kind of a big deal.

I tried once and when it didnt work out, I felt really sorry for the child.

I would rather not, but never say never. It's just a lot to deal with in most situations so my ideal plan is not to date someone who already has children.

Not little kids…no. Maybe if they were teenagers and I never had to live with them 🤔

Well if I were dating, someone in my age range would likely already have kids. So I guess the answer is yes. Now if things developed and it became serious, how that fits as a father figure would be another discussion altogether......

I am, though her daughter heads off to college next year. If it was an adolescent child, I couldn’t date anyone seriously. I’ve raised two girls and wouldn’t want to do it over again.

I have before, I don’t think it’d be something I’d do again unless I was a lot older in age and maybe ready to settle down.
