FOMOA - Fear Of Missing Out Again

Do you suffer from FOMOA? I used to because I keep seeing all the happy loved-up people around me and that used to make me really depressed and upset, but now I'm realising that if it's not going to happen it's not going to happen and I should just embrace me-dom to enjoy life as a probably-single-forever person.

Not necessarily about relationships but definitely I feel this all the time about different things. I can't say it caused my depression but it definitely didn't help it.

Whether it's about relationships, or not going to parties where a Big Thing happens, or not getting auditions, or not going on holiday with friends, or whatever it is...I think we do all need to embrace ourselves a bit more.

I think the truth is that none of us 'miss out' on something. We just have a different experience. That's just as valuable, just as great, as anyone else's. We should definitely embrace doing the things we like, accept the things that happen to us, rather than wishing ourselves into someone else's life.

You be you :) Cos you sound great
