Nursing Department crush

My uncle has Dementia and is in a Nursing Home which is close to my work. I usually go in to visit whenever I'm in the office. It's not an easy experience especially since I was close to him.
There is an elderly man who sits nearby and every now and then his daughter is with him. She must be in her 50s , and still looks cute. We always greet each other or just smile . I always wonder how she would take it if I would suggest that we go for a coffee together after our visit in the Home.
Of course I'm WAY TOO SHY to try it but ... just fantasizing.

Oh my lord, just ask her.

Absolutely, positively go for it. You both have something in common which is an elderly relative in the home. That's the ice-breaker and gives you something to talk about.

Perhaps she is married, perhaps she is gay- so what? All you have to lose is 30 minutes and the cost of a couple of cups of coffee and maybe a scone. If you never see her again, you spent a relaxing 30 minutes finding out a little bit about each other, and you might just meet the perfect gal.

Youth might be wasted on the young, but time is wasted on many at any age.
