Should I confess?

@basilfawlty89 I was in college full time by 16. A lot of places in the us, at least, offer college in high school classes.

@basilfawlty89 Here we have community college and Universities. You'll find a lot of 16, 17, and maybe even 15 year olds at community colleges. Universities are usually 18 and up. With some exception - I definitely took an advanced literature class at a University at 16, and while the class was technically online, I would have been allowed to go to campus and use all the facilities there if I wanted.

@Lucyy I've been to a community college. The number of people who were underage was pretty small, but there were some. That's not the part I have trouble believing.

@LordShadowfire I mean I don't see anything super far-fetched with the story really. Where I live, you have a LOT of underaged teens in community college (15-17). And I can guarantee that pretty much all of the straight girls had a crush at some point on a boy there who was 18 or older. That's going to happen when you have 16 year olds in a class with 19 year olds. Though, if she is attending a college that has people under 18 there, it isn't that far-fetched to me that you could all be someone underage she has a crush on. Respectfully, this wouldn't be far-fetched at all where I live 🤷 I had conversations with my friends about stuff very similar back in high school

@LordShadowfire and if she's from india, a quick Google search of Indian education system levels definitely confirms that this is very plausible 😂

@em1ly I think the people who assume most colleges are 18 and up, would just kind of assume that someone you had a crush on at University would be that age. It was really common when I was in running start (the college in high school program I was in) for girls to get crushes on boys who were like 18 or 19. Sometimes older lol. But there were definitely enough underaged boys there that you would have a 16 year old meet a 17 year old at the college and start dating too tbh. But especially for the generations older than ours (from the USA at least), they likely largely view college as strictly a 18-24 year olds game, so I guess I can see the potential for confusion lol. But you're from somewhere where the educational system is completely different, so it's not even the same concept really. By your age in India, "college" seems to kind of be the standard, not the exception.
