I Always Have A Crush

Just little ones haha. Very easily growing out of proportion if I allow myself, which with maturity is less likely to happen. Currently the dishwasher I met today, he's all smiles and goofiness. And of course the chef I work for. His English isn't always completely understandable, but I listen to his every word. He always looks over to see if I'm smiling and laughing at his jokes, which just makes me smile more. He's a cool guy. Where he is from, which I don't know, I guess you don't have to go to school at all or anything because he has been cooking since he was 8 and had 3 jobs at 12, which by golly that's amazing. His movement in the kitchen is flawless. It's quick and precise. I had a chef at school who said a chef only needs two things: Precision and Seasoning (meaning the ability to properly season a dish). This guy is 100% with both. He cuts everything at his station, sauté, fresh. Even the garlic. If something comes in and it's only on his station I'll watch him move. He'll look up and nod me over, saying "You want to learn." Not asking that I do, but in a father-like way of recognizing my curiosity and hunger for knowledge. Which he encourages immensely. He is the third chef I've worked under in the industry and he might just be the best. The first one I worked under is literally a father to me, even to this day.
This guy is very kind, and very smart. And very attractive. And probably not gay, but hey you can't win all the time. I'm sure we'll be great co-workers. He runs a nice ship. Almost makes me want to not go back to school and just work for him for awhile. Almost.
