I Develop Inconvenient Crushes
First day on-the-job training at the cafe, I felt awkward because I wore formal outfit & the rest of the staff wore casual outfit. I sit far from the rest & the manager called me to sit closer. A tall guy helped me carried my chair closer & I sit next to him. The manager want to discuss about the menu so he ask the staffs to share their printed menu. That guy shared his menu with me & when he ask if I could read it, I couldn't breathe. THAT BRITISH ACCENT LIKE WHUT. I DIDN'T EXPECT THAT, THAT WAS SO SUDDEN. WHY DO I LOVE BRITISH ACCENT SO MUCH? @_@;;
After the introduction, I get along well with the rest of the staffs. I chatted with him & found out he studied in UK for 5 years, that explained everything. The cafe is small & he chatted with the other staffs & I didn't mean to eavesdropping. I heard he has a long-distance girlfriend at his home country. A few weeks after that, he chatted with the supervisor & I was nearby. He said he already broke up with her. When it just 2 of us, since he saw that I heard him earlier, he told me the reason was he didn't listen to her & he kept talking about himself. I just nodded since I don't know how to reply to that.
That Friday, I don't know what's wrong with me, I was being extra nervous as hell. I think he noticed that. The staffs called me by my first name for short name because of name tag. I was on standby waiting for guests at the entrance & he suddenly called me by my full name & wink at me. I just laughed awkwardly & took a breath & fanning myself when he isn't looking. After that, I was doing transaction at the cashier counter & then he called me by my full name again with his bright smile. I just smiled awkwardly. It's my first time being flirted with someone I know & I don't know how to react to that. @_@;;
The next week, he was absent 4 days. I do wonder but I never bothered since the cafe is still busy everyday. I chatted with my female coworker & she said he went back to his girlfriend & they went to a vacation. @_@;;
The final week, I fell sick because of lack of staffs & overwork & no off days so I quit. He saw me & I saw him & I don't know how to say goodbye to him. I didn't talk about myself much with my coworker, maybe they think I'm cold or anti-social but I'm still just shy & awkward. I kept dreaming of him after I quit, I don't even know why. He already has a girlfriend... orz
