the human brain becomes active while we are in the womb.......it doesnt stop until death.......except for math tests and when we fall in love!!!
Noelle · F
She mentioned she eats there often...next time you both are there say Hi and engage in a conversation. It's always nice to meet a new friend.
Carissimi · F
Island, you probably have a basic need that is not being met. I don't know your back story, but I'm thinking it's loneliness from not having a deep connection/s. This is why your mind goes off on its fantasies.

Just know that I myself talk like this to strangers –men and women – I'm just friendly, though I'm less inclined to speak with men now, since I encountered two weird guys at the store, but that's another story. Some people are just friendly and can start a conversation with anyone...as I do. It doesn't mean anything beyond that, unless there are signs of flirting.

Islandalone:Enjoy these colourful moments..often the smallest conversations become the most fulfilling ones..🙂

Wow some guys probably feel like this when I randomly exchange lines with them...too bad I forget about them 10 seconds later. Sorry, I am

Maybe you're right @akindheart, but when I think about doing something like that I can't help but remember hearing a couple of women say "It's getting where I can't have a simple conversation with a guy without him taking it to the bedroom"
... I'm not that guy and don't want to be either.
SW-User
Cari you may be right.
It's just I don't think I'm the kind of guy women are attracted to so when I get this kind of encounter and conversation it feels odd. Plus the history of people leaving me usually means my defense mechanism goes up.
Ah such is life.

Thank you my friend.

I agree with blueskies
Noelle · F
islandalone....lol, think positive
Ynotjenn · F
Aww. You're human ❤️
Carissimi · F
Island, and those defense mechanisms are a perfectly normal response to your historical experiences. We all have them, subject to our own brush with the painful and the sorrows of life.
akindheart · 61-69, F
Ok so here is what you do. when you run into her again, strike up a conversation. wait for her to make the next move. let it evolve slowly over something innocent like food.
moose73630 · 26-30, M
I know how you feel man. I have those same thoughts in my head whenever I hangout or talk to my crush.
akindheart · 61-69, F
The next time jump on it. It is hard to read what the other person is "not" saying. plus you justgot hurt...it is understandable
Lutiey · 31-35, M
If you replaced her gender then you wouldnt think like that. Thats all there is to it. Just a friendly conversation.

SweetDreams, I know right? I usually tell myself "Boy if only they had a clue"

Little moments of connectivity makes ones mind wander...

SweetDreamsRubi · 31-35, F

@Tminus6453: Maybe I did, but I'm not one of those guys who thinks a conversation like that is a 'come on' or an invitation. Yeah maybe she wanted me to pursue it but maybe it was just a harmless conversation.
SW-User
@Blueskies, that's one of the things that came to me during my sensible moments. We'll see what happens but I'm not holding my breath.
Tminus6453 · M
Well then if it was just a "harmless conversation" why are you in such a tizzy over it?.. if she was attractive and flirty, just ask her out and you wont have to beat yourself up over it later
SW-User
@Tminus6453, because I'm always a bit surprised when a woman talks to me 'out of the blue'....sure it's an ego boost but I'm also curious as to why she would do it.
SW-User
You're right @Venuscalling....it was just unexpected

@MrsGearhead4: Yah....like a "Dr. Katz" type cartoon.
