I Get Stupid Whenever I Have a Crush On Someone

Here's an example - I'm at a restaurant and paying the bill after eating alone. A girl is in front of me and our bills get mixed up. We exchange them and make eye contact..no big deal right? She smiles and asks "did you enjoy your lunch?"
"Yes I did - how about you?"
"I eat here often so I know what's good."
"That's nice. I eat here once in a while - the food's good and the atmosphere's nice."
"Yeah it is........" she said with a tilt of her head and another smile.

That was a harmless conversation and now I'm reeling. The rest of the day is spent wondering if she meant anything; no she didn't; how do you know; because I just know that's how; not everyone talks like that to you; she was just being friendly; that was some kind of friendly; it was nothing - don't make anything out of it; wow did you see her eyes; yeah that was some feeling huh; it was nothing; so on and so forth.

This goes on for about a day, maybe two....maybe four. Then my senses take over.

It's stupid.

Island, you probably have a basic need that is not being met. I don't know your back story, but I'm thinking it's loneliness from not having a deep connection/s. This is why your mind goes off on its fantasies.

Just know that I myself talk like this to strangers –men and women – I'm just friendly, though I'm less inclined to speak with men now, since I encountered two weird guys at the store, but that's another story. Some people are just friendly and can start a conversation with anyone...as I do. It doesn't mean anything beyond that, unless there are signs of flirting.
