No. It's avoiding accountability and erodes all trust and chances for repairs.
How can you fix something if you dont owe up to it?
If they leave you, they leave you. You should've known better before cheating. As simple as that.

There is no "accidental" cheating.

@greensnacks Kinda agree. If they forgive the cheater, consider that lucky and not do it again. But in all fairness, you crossed the line....so...(brace yourself, maybe)
