New housemate has appointment to see place, 6 days in planning, today her "phone breaks cant talk" message comes at one PM, appointment is for 5

then she never shows or calls or returns an email.

Last time on the phone "her (grown) daughter is calling" so she ended the call.

I say the (grown) daughter discouraged her mother from honoring her obligation.

I bet nobody here will say anything. Its a bet I prefer to lose though. I DONT WANT ANY PHONY PITY

I just want connection, similar stories or real support and a HOUSEMATE, u can ask where LATER.

Not knowing details, it sounds to me like you need to find a different roommate. This one seems to think living with you is not important, and may also think that paying their share of the rent is also not important.

@Shadyglow Think of it like applying for a job. You get rejected a lot more than accepted. Just keep looking for a roomate and it will happen. There is someone out there that will fit what you need, you just need to connect with them.
