Why do men cheat so often…so easily?

@Vivaci If you don't put out. If you are disagreeable. If you are not feminine and friendly and don't make him feel desired, he'll seek all that elsewhere. If he is a big star or a man of high value he's likely to be approached by different women frequently and sometimes he chooses to take the opportunity because it's hard to say no all the time. But he could also just be a piece of manure.

@Vivaci There is a LOVELY lady on our dock, friends with both of us.. Her ex husband is a narcissist.. and they previously had a great physical and emotional life ... this guy literally has took up with a Women half his age in Brazil.. where he travels regularly for business... brilliant guy in business, total looser personally, huge ego.. He has children who are brilliant and accomplished who he has totally alienated... they know he is a total dick.. he will DIE alone and miserable..

@SW-User What men find attractive and desirable is an evolving target.. Its very simple for me... I LOVE my Wife... I love making love to my Wife and she has a very healthy appetite... We get along very well.. and I realize that this is simply as good as it gets so don't be an idiot..

@SW-User The one who wants to cheat will find lots of excuses on why they cheated. And then there are those who make an effort to work on their relationships and don’t give up no matter what the hurdles. That is love…

And the most common excuse a cheater will give is that their partner is not putting out. Maybe they’re sex addicts and expect their partners to act like escorts. 🤷‍♀️

@pdqsailor1 Yeah If you both desire each other that's awesome but i know of men stuck in dead bedrooms which is an awful thing to be in

@SW-User we were once in such a situation .. and I was adamant that it be fixed RTFN and I meant it.. it got fixed.. but it got fixed in part with me getting to be a whole lot more competent in terms of what it took to please HER.. she did her part but so did I...

I agree with OldBrit. We all know such horrible men exist…I just hate that such men marry and pose as good husbands. Effers!

@Vivaci Happiness in a relationship has its peaks and troughs but duties, no matter what they are, should always be performed (within reason of course we are humans not robots). In a marriage, sex is a duty that both parties must perform for each other. Both, not just the wife.


Similarly the one that doesn't want to play their part in keeping up the relationship can come up with many excuses why not to. At what point is enough enough? I've heard of men in dead bedrooms from a year to even a decade, is that love?


You would have known that before marrying your partner and you still made the decision to marry them anyway, at any rate sex is a duty.

@pdqsailor1 Yes a relationship is a two way street. But if she wasn't willing to do her part what would you have done?

@SW-User I would NEVER cheat - it was clear - it was going to be resolved or it was going to end... It was resolved properly and to our mutual satisfaction - literally....cheating is never a solution... it is horrible behaviour that resolves nothing,...

@pdqsailor1 I've never said cheating was a good and justified thing to do but it does happen. It's also cheaper and easier to do than a divorce.

@SW-User Why does a cheater cheat again and again with multiple partners? Does he/she blame that behavior also on their spouse?

@Vivaci people can have understandable reasons to cheat, but they can also just be terrible people who are selfish and do as they please. If you are taking care of your bit of the relationship, what the other person does is not your problem and cheating is good grounds for divorce. But you cannot deny your spouse intimacy and expect him or her to be okay with it.

@SW-User If my spouse has denied me sex, I will not justify that as an excuse to ONS’s or multiple affairs. That is just an excuse a cheater uses to have the cake and eat it too.

So maybe you believe such men…I see them for what they truly are…’selfish, lying cheaters & narcissists’

@Vivaci You may not cheat immediately but repeated rejection will either lead you to stray or file for divorce. Sex is a biological need. It's a terrible thing to deny ones partner intimacy for prolonged periods. People have a fairytale idea of marriage but marriage is work, it's an acknowledgement that you both have needs and you choose each other to have those needs met, so it's disturbing when one party strays from the agreement.

@SW-User easier and cheaper? It is a cop out - why remain in a "marriage" that is no such thing? To save assets and prove that you are a spineless cad with zero character? There is NO justification for cheating - there are justifications for divorce... resolve the problem or end it.. you do not live with a sub optimal relationship...
